Conyers Atlanta Fall Classics I and II were a great way to end a terrific year. Alexa and her mount, Alamo, had quite an exciting equitation finish to their year, as the pair won the USEF Pessoa Medal, surpassing her brother, Chase on his mount, Massimo. It was a fight to the finish, as Chase and Massimo were called on top, with Alexa and Alamo second. After the test, Alexa's smooth ride gave her the win, with Chase close behind. Alexa and Alamo also did their first USET Talent Search class on Sunday and won! Week 1, this pair took the Championship in the Large Junior Hunter division. Way to go Alexa and Alamo!
Chase and Massimo were not to be outdone, as Chase and his green equitation horse won both phases of the Washington, as well as the NCE Junior Equitation Championship. Massimo has decided the equitation is a nice diversion to his years of being a breeding stallion!
Hennessey and Chase had wonderful success in the jumpers week I and II, as Chase was 4th in the Grand Prix week I, 9th in the Welcome and week II, this duo were 6th in the $25,000 Open Welcome and 5th in the Sunday Grand Prix. Congrats to both Chase and Alexa, as we all take a well needed rest! See you all in Florida.
